The Village is sponsoring a docent-led tour of the award-winning Foggy Bottom outdoor sculpture exhibition – one of Washington’s leading programs for presenting public art – which is back for its sixth season as Absence & Presence.

The exhibition features 15 sculptures by 15 artists, many of whom are nationally recognized. Many of the works are site-specific and are on view for the first time in Absence & Presence. As in past exhibitions, the sculptures are sited in the front of homes in Historic Foggy Bottom.

The exhibition has been co-curated by two outstanding curators – Helen Frederick and Peter Winant - both of whom have outstanding experience as curators and as artists and are highly acclaimed in the Washington DC metropolitan art scene as well as in the international art world.

Cost: This program is free.

Accessibility: The tour requires walking on brick sidewalks at a leisurely pace for approximately six blocks.

Members only.

Registration is required.
