Meet some new members

Marcy Heidish Dolan
Marcy lives with her husband, Peter, in the West End.She joined the Village in September.Marcyhas taughtat Fordham, George Washington and Georgetown Universities.She is the author of novels, non-fiction and poetry.Marcy is looking forward to making new friends in the Village.She enjoys music, theater, reading and teaching classes based on her books. Marcy will be giving a Village lecture on Harriet Tubman onFeb. 12. (Click here for information and to register.)
Harry Glascoe
Harry joined the Village in October, and has lived in the West End communityfor more than 3 years. He is a retired salesman,and he enjoys music, reading and exercise. He attended Howard University and is 67 YearsYoung. He has never been married and has nochildren. He has been a DCOA Ambassador formore than 3 years, sharing information aboutthe D.C. Office on Aging with those who maybenefit from its services. It's his hope that hemeets others in the community and equally important to engage with other Villagers of color.
Rosi Meza-Steel
Rosi moved to D.C. from London in 1986 and has lived in the neighborhood for 32 years. She is retired from her post as chief interpreter for the World Bank and remains active as a freelance interpreter worldwide.She teaches a graduate course on translating and interpreting at the University of Maryland. She has been widowed since May 1994 and has no children.Her interests include movies and the arts, environmental and animal defense, and international development. Rosi joined the Village because she supports its contribution to aging in place, building community, and enhancing our quality of life.
Joe Page
Joe has lived in Foggy Bottom since 1980 and recently retired as a Professor at the Georgetown University Law Center.He enjoys classical music, opera, theater and dance; foreign travel (especially small-ship cruising); literature and film; and following the misfortunes of the Washington Capitals and Nationals. He joined the Village because he enjoys its community focus, social and cultural activities and service orientation. Joe is married to Martha Gil-Montero, who is also an active Village member.
Trina Lutter Rubenstein
Trina was born in Montreal and moved to New York for graduate school. She taught history before becoming a full time mom to daughter Jessica and son Jeremy. She then switched careers to development for scientific research, working for the Weizmann Institute of Science with joint projects with NIH, Rockefeller Institute and Sloan Kettering. Trina moved with her husband Les to Foggy Bottom 18 months ago. She is a voracious reader, and attends classes in international relations, music and mindfulness."The Village concept appeals to me very much,” Trina says. “Creating community around social activities, with a range of services available to all is of critical importance.”
