Foggy Bottom West End Village Receives Grant to Reduce Social Isolation

The Foggy Bottom West End Village (FBWEV) has received a grant of $10,000 from The Cloudbreak Foundation to implement a program to reduce the social isolation of the Village's most vulnerable, frail, and isolated members.
The Cloudbreak Foundation is a private foundation that offers support to organizations that provide immediate services to individuals in need. Specifically, the Foundation assists community-based charitable organizations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, which promote the welfare of children, the elderly and the homeless. FBWEV is a Washington, DC volunteer/membership organization that provides services and social activities to help residents live independently for the long term. This grant assists the Village in its commitment to reduce the social isolation of its most vulnerable members due to health, financial or mobility restrictions.
As it approaches the third year of operations, the Village's Board is committed to serving its most vulnerable members and bringing them into the mainstream of Village life.
