Villagers brave the cold for music and libations as our Community grows
On January 16th more then 13 members bundled up, walked to the Kennedy Center, and took advantage of arranged tickets to listen to a rehearsal of the National Symphony Orchestra. Members were treated to guest conductor Mark Elder’s and the NSO’s rehearsal of Liszt’s first piano concerto, and tone poems by Edward Elgar and Richard Strauss.
On January 21st members and working volunteers gathered at the Circle Bistro Bar at 1 Washington Circle for a lively happy hour. Appetizers were provided by the restaurant free of charge to the delight of the Village members.
