Villagers view historic furnishing in the Diplomatic Reception Rooms
On March 12th Villagers were treated to a private tour of the State Department Diplomatic Reception Rooms. These rooms are filled with well appointed, one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-replicated furnishing of the 18th and 19th century. Villagers learn of the role these items played in our nation’s history and about the individuals who collected and donated such items so that they can grace the rooms where distinguished foreign and American guests are officially entertained.
