FBWEV Hosts Community Meeting on the Renovation of the DC Central Library
The FBWE Village, along with other civic organizations, hosted a lively discussion about the possibilities surrounding the renovation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library at St Paul’s Parish on K St. on the evening of Sept. 30th.
The DC Public Library wanted input on the current plans and to share information about the project. Since Village members are avid library users, the Village was glad to be one of the hosts. There were many strong opinions about the repurposing of the historic central library and many shared their experiences of using the facility. All looked forward to a new central library which will forward the cultural and educational mission of DCPL and the residents of the District.
