Stepping Safely Into Winter
Thursday, December 6, 2018, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM
The Village at 2430 K Street NW
How safe is your home? Have you tripped or taken a spill lately? Don’t know what’s hazardous or what’s the best remedy for your concerns? These and other worries will be addressed by Kathy Kirchner, a licensed Occupation Therapist. Her practice helps identify and resolve safety problems that could limit your ability to live independently now or later. This program would be helpful for individuals and caregivers.
Kathy Kirchner, a licensed Occupational Therapist, holds the Executive Certification in Home Modification through the USC Davis School of Gerontology, and is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist by the National Association of Home Builders. In addition to her private practice, Accessible Home Associates, LLC, Kathy works for the District of Columbia Office of Aging’s Safe at Home Program. She has a special interest in falls prevention and in working with the caregivers of clients with cognitive impairments.
The program is free to all members, guests and volunteers
Registration is required.
