The Village Current Events Discussion Group has been meeting for three years. If you would like to join the group, you are most welcome. To give you an idea of what we have been discussing, click here to find the topics we have looked into.

If you would like to discuss current events with fellow villagers, you are invited to register for this current events discussion that will be led by villager Sue Headlee.

Approximately a week before the scheduled discussion, Sue will send you a few articles from the Sunday New York Times and/or The Washington Post. You’ll be asked to read the articles before the event so that you can be prepared to engage in a discussion intended to enhance understanding. You are also invited to bring articles of your own.

Sue Headlee, PhD, retired economics professor, taught economic policy and current events at American University for 27 years.

Please come with an open mind and be ready to take part in civil discourse.

Cost: Free

Arrival Time: Please note that the front doors to the building will open at 11:30 am. Please arrive before 12:00 pm so that everyone is seated and our greeter can attend the program.

Accessibility: The building is accessible via a ramp to the left of the steps leading to the atrium at 2430 K Street NW and an elevator within the building.
