“The Uninhabitable Earth” is both a meditation on the devastation we have brought upon ourselves and an impassioned call to action.

In his new book, featured on the April 28th cover of The New York Times Book Review, author and journalist David Wallace-Wells brings into stark relief the climate troubles that await -- food shortages, refugee emergencies and other crises that will reshape the globe. But the book takes a step back, examining how climate change will remake the world in more profound ways as well, transforming our politics, our culture, our relationship to technology and our sense of history.

For June, The Village Book Club will tackle “The Uninhabitable Earth” in what is sure to be an interesting – and sobering – discussion.

Facilitating the book discussion will be Anders Gyllenhaal, a member of the Pulitzer Prize Board for nine years.

Cost: Members will obtain copies of the book.

The Book Club is open to members only.

Registration is requested.
